Abbi's Gone
This is a subtitle for your new post

Being Abbi is exhausting.
There are squirrels to monitor. Strange noises to investigate. Stella occasionally needs to be reminded that she is approximately 14 pounds of attitude challenging a German Shepherd. Julius is usually somewhere screaming about an injustice. And, of course, Mom and Dad require constant supervision.
It’s a lot of responsibility for one girl.
So every once in a while, Abbi decides she’s done.
The eyes start getting heavy. The head slowly goes down. And before long, the big intimidating German Shepherd has transformed into one very sleepy girl.
At that point, there’s not much that’s going to convince her to move. You can call her name and maybe get one eye. Ask if she wants to go outside and you might get an ear twitch.
Mention a treat, though?
Miraculously, the patient makes a full recovery.
Otherwise, she’s staying exactly where she is.
And I can’t really blame her. Abbi takes her naps seriously. When she finds a comfortable spot and decides it’s bedtime, the rest of the world can figure itself out for a while.
Stella can handle security.
Julius can supervise the house.
Actually, on second thought, that sounds like a terrible idea.
Get some sleep, Abbi.
We’re probably going to need you
