Ms Stella vs The Happy Hoodie
This is a subtitle for your new post

Some pups wear the Happy Hoodie like a badge of honor.
Some pups melt into it like it’s the best nap they’ve ever had.
And then… there’s Ms. Stella. Now Stella already made it very clear during bath time that she had opinions. So when it came time to introduce the Happy Hoodie, I knew we weren’t about to get a glowing review. Still… you never know. Sometimes the most skeptical pups surprise you. Stella did not.
The moment she saw it, she leaned back just a bit. Not dramatic, not panicked—just enough to say:
“I don’t like where this is going.”
Fair enough. So we eased into it. Slow and steady, no rush. Gave her a second to sniff it, process it, judge it (which she absolutely did). Then it went on. And just like that… Stella had thoughts.
No thrashing, no chaos—just a very clear, very controlled reaction of:
“Absolutely not.”
She stiffened up, gave me that signature Stella side-eye, and you could almost hear her inner monologue:
“You’ve crossed a line.”
For those who don’t know, the Happy Hoodie is meant to help protect their ears from the loud dryer and give them a snug, calming feeling. For a lot of pups, it’s a game changer. For Stella? It was… an insult. She didn’t panic or fight it hard, but she made it very clear she was not buying what I was selling. Every small movement came with just enough resistance to remind me:
“I’m cooperating… but I strongly disagree.”
We gave it a fair shot, worked through it gently, and kept things calm—but at the end of the day, Stella voted no. And that’s okay. Part of grooming is figuring out what works best for each pup, and Stella? She’s just not a Happy Hoodie kind of girl. She’d rather tough it out on her own terms, ears free, dignity intact.
Respect.
Even without loving the process, she still trusted enough to let us get the job done—and that’s what matters most. By the end, she was clean, looking great, and carrying herself like she had just endured something mildly offensive but beneath her to complain about too loudly.
