I've done my research. I've tested the couch. I've tested the dog bed. I've even tested the floor. After careful investigation, I've reached one very scientific conclusion. Dad's spot is the best spot in the house.
It's warm.
It smells familiar. And somehow it's always the most comfortable place to nap. The funny part is that Dad only has to stand up for about three seconds before I make my move. By the time he gets back, I've already settled in.
If he wants his seat back, he's going to have to convince me it's worth the effort.
Spoiler alert... It usually isn't.
I like to think I'm not stealing his spot. I'm simply making sure no one else takes it.
