Abbi vs Daylight Savings Time

Abbi is officially not a fan of daylight-saving time.

The clocks changed, and ever since then, our girl has been all kinds of confused. Breakfast seems late, walk time feels off, and bedtime? Forget it she’s ready for bed an hour early and judging us for not following her lead. The first morning after the time change, she was sitting by her bowl, staring holes through us like, “You people are running behind schedule.” When food didn’t appear on cue, she let out one of her dramatic sighs and flopped down like the world had ended.

Then that evening, right as the sun started dipping, she was already pacing toward the door like, “Alright, let’s wrap this up, folks it’s bedtime.” Meanwhile, the rest of us were still halfway through dinner. It’s been a full week of her trying to reset her internal clock. We’ve had early wake-up calls, mid-afternoon nap protests, and one very unimpressed side-eye when she realized “walkies” weren’t happening at her usual time.

But even through all the confusion, she’s still her happy, goofy self-tail wagging, head tilting, doing her best to adapt to this strange new schedule humans insist on following. We figure by the time she gets used to it, it’ll be time to switch the clocks again.

Until then, we’re just rolling with it coffee in hand, Abbi at our heels, both of us trying to figure out what time it really is.
