Abbi’s Nap Time Ritual: A Day in the Life of Our Sleepy Pup
This is a subtitle for your new post
If there’s one thing Abbi loves as much as treats and avoiding wet grass, it’s nap time. She’s got her own little ritual and watching her settle down each day is like clockwork — with a side of comedy. So, here’s a little look into how our favorite furball gets ready for her mid-day snooze.
It all starts with the “search for the perfect spot.” Abbi takes this mission very seriously, wandering around the house, sometimes pausing to sniff her usual spots as if she’s never seen them before. When she finally chooses her resting place (usually her favorite spot on the couch or a sunny patch on the floor), she starts what I can only describe as the “nesting” phase. She’ll circle around and around, paw at the blanket, fluff it up just right, and plop down with a dramatic sigh, as if the whole routine wore her out. Then comes the cuddle phase. If there’s a nearby pillow or toy, she’ll nuzzle up to it, giving it the Abbi-approved “hug.” Sometimes, she’ll even tuck her head into the crook of my arm if I’m sitting next to her — a gentle reminder of her puppy days when she wanted to be as close as possible. Finally, once everything is just right, her eyes slowly close, her breathing settles, and she’s off to dreamland. And let me tell you, Abbi doesn’t just nap; she naps hard. It’s almost comical how completely she surrenders to her nap, sometimes even snoring softly as if she’s had the busiest day of her life.
For those few moments of quiet, it’s like everything slows down. Watching her sleep is a reminder of the little joys and calm moments our pets bring into our lives. So here’s to nap time — a daily dose of peace, for Abbi and for all of us who get to witness her snuggle up for her well-deserved rest.
