Bath Day Goofball: Ms Abbi Steals the Show

There are dogs who tolerate bath day.
There are dogs who endure bath day.

And then there’s Abbi… who treats bath day like it’s her own personal comedy show.

From the moment she hopped into the tub, you could tell this wasn’t going to be your standard “stand still and get clean” kind of appointment. Nope. Not even close.

Abbi came in HOT.

We’re talking tail wagging like a helicopter, paws sliding around like she just discovered ice for the first time, and eyes locked in on me like, “You sure you know what you’re doing, pal?”

The second the water turned on, she had two reactions:

  1. Mild confusion
  2. Immediate decision to make things as ridiculous as possible

She started pawing at the water like she was trying to fight it. At one point I’m pretty sure she tried to bite the stream like it personally offended her.

Then came the bubbles…

Oh boy.

Abbi decided bubbles were not just acceptable—they were entertainment. She was snapping at them, licking them, and somehow managing to get them all over her face like a little foam beard. If she could talk, she’d 100% be saying, “You seeing this? This is fantastic.”

Trying to actually wash her turned into a full-body coordination exercise. Every time I’d go to scrub one side, she’d pivot. Every time I’d reach for her back, she’d lean into me like we were slow dancing in a high school gym.

And the zoomies?

Yes… in the tub.

I don’t know how. I don’t know why. But Abbi found a way to have bathtub zoomies without actually going anywhere. Just spinning, wiggling, and splashing like she had somewhere very important to be but forgot what it was.

Now don’t let the chaos fool you—this girl was an absolute sweetheart the whole time. Not a mean bone in her body. Just… a lot of personality packed into one very wiggly pup. Once we finally got her rinsed off (which took some negotiation), she hit that magical moment…

The calm.

You know the one.

That split second where they go from wild animal to “okay this isn’t so bad.”

She stood there, looked up at me, and you could almost see her thinking, “Alright… I guess this was worth it.”

By the end of it all, Abbi came out clean, fresh, and still somehow just as goofy as when she came in—if not more.

10/10 entertainment
10/10 personality
10/10 would absolutely get splashed again

And honestly… wouldn’t have it any other way.
