You’d think by now, Abbi would be used to grooming day. She’s been through it plenty of times — bath, blow dry, brush, and lots of praise in between. But this week? Even she couldn’t believe how much fur came off that little body of hers!

It started like any normal groom. Abbi hopped up on the table with that “let’s get this over with” look she does so well. But once the brushing started, things got wild. Every swipe of the brush sent another puff of fur flying. Before long, it looked like we were building a brand-new Abbi out of all the hair we collected! At one point she turned her head and gave us this expression like, “There’s no way all that came off of me… right?” Her face said it all — pure shock mixed with a bit of pride, like she just discovered a new superpower. A lot of people are surprised when their pups shed even after regular grooming, but it’s totally normal. Seasonal changes — especially when we’re going from hot Texas weather to cooler temps — can trigger a big shed. Add in some air conditioning, indoor heat, or just everyday life, and boom… hair everywhere..

That’s where a good de-shedding session comes in handy. It helps pull out all the loose undercoat before it ends up all over your floors, clothes, and couch cushions (you know the ones). Plus, it keeps their skin healthy, coat shiny, and pups feeling fresh instead of itchy. Once we finished, Abbi looked about two pounds lighter and ten times happier. Her coat was smooth, shiny, and soft enough to rival a baby bunny. She strutted around like she just left a spa day — tail wagging, chest out, and of course, she made sure to collect her well-earned treat at the end. Even the cleanest, most pampered pups can surprise you with how much they shed. If your dog’s been leaving “fur confetti” around the house, it might be time for a good brush-out or de-shed session. You’ll notice a huge difference — and so will your vacuum.

Because at the end of the day, a happy, freshly groomed pup like Abbi is what it’s all about.
