Stella Has Been Charged with a Crime
This is a subtitle for your new post

We have an ongoing investigation in the Douglas household.
The crime scene: the carpet.
The evidence: a suspicious puddle of pee.
The suspect: Stella.
Now, Stella would like everyone to remember that she is innocent until proven guilty. Unfortunately for Stella, there are only so many suspects in the house, and the evidence against her is not looking particularly good. Upon being questioned, Stella immediately deployed the oldest defense strategy in the book: looking really, really cute. No statement. No explanation. No remorse. Just big eyes and a face that says, I have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about.
Ma’am
There is pee on the carpet.
Somebody put it there.
And unless Julius has learned a completely new skill, we have a pretty good idea who our suspect is. Naturally, Stella is now in trouble. She knows she’s in trouble, too. Dogs have an incredible ability to suddenly become the saddest creature on planet Earth the second they realize the humans have discovered the crime scene.
Five minutes ago? Living her best life. Now? Wrongfully accused. Betrayed by her own family. Probably wondering when her attorney will arrive.
The carpet has been cleaned. The investigation is wrapping up. Stella remains under close supervision.
Her sentence will likely include being told she’s a bad girl, approximately three minutes of feeling sorry for herself, followed by receiving love and attention anyway because we’re pushovers.
Justice has been served.
Probably.
